The Percussive - This is another technique that will add a lot of variety to your rhythms. Watch video.

Watch and work with the following rhythms to develop the percussive technique.

 

This rhythm uses the percussive on the second and fourth beats. Watch video.

 

 

 

This rhythm uses a percussive on the down beat of two followed by an eighth note on the up beat. The first, second and fourth beats are quarter notes. Watch video.

 

 

 

This rhythm has a pair of eighth notes on the second and fourth beats with a percussive on the down beat. The first and third beats are quarter notes. Watch video.

 

 

 

This rhythm uses all eighth notes with a percussive on the down beat of two and four. Watch video.
